Privacy Policy

Syuya Vault Sync (“the app”) is a personal research tool operated by Kang Chun Wei (Syuya Fujikawa), an individual based in Taipei, Taiwan. It connects to the Threads API by Meta. This policy explains what the app accesses, why, and what happens to it.
Who uses the app
The app is built for and used by its operator to research public conversations on Threads related to his professional work (marketing, corporate training, presentations and online courses), and to keep a personal archive of his own Threads posts and their performance.
What data the app accesses
- Your basic Threads profile (user ID, username, name, profile picture) when you log in with Threads — permission
threads_basic. Used only to show who is logged in. - Public Threads posts that match a keyword or topic tag you search for — permission
threads_keyword_search. Shown on screen in response to your search. - Public Threads profiles you look up by username, including public bio, public counts and recent public posts — permission
threads_profile_discovery. Shown on screen in response to your look-up. - For the operator’s own account only: the operator’s own posts, replies, mentions and insights, which are copied into the operator’s private notes.
The app never posts, replies, likes, follows or sends messages on anyone’s behalf.
How data is stored
- When you log in, Threads gives the app an access token. The app keeps it only in an encrypted, HttpOnly cookie in your own browser, which expires within one hour or when you log out. The token is not saved in any database or log on the server.
- Search and look-up results are fetched from Threads at the moment you ask for them and shown in your browser. The server does not store them.
- If the operator chooses to copy a public post into his personal notes (for example with the “Copy to notes” button), that copy is kept in his private notes with a link back to the original post on Threads.
Sharing
The app does not sell, rent or share Threads data with anyone, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to build profiles of individuals. Data is used only for the research purpose described above.
Hosting
The app runs on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the website.
Your choices and data deletion
- Log out at any time with the “Log out” button; this deletes the session cookie.
- You can remove the app’s access in the Threads app: Settings → Account → Website permissions.
- To ask for deletion of any data, see the Data Deletion page or email the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
